Privacy policy

Pascoe is built and operated by Algorise Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15312605, with its registered office at 22 Carter House, 55 King Street, Maidenhead, SL6 1EB. Pascoe runs at pascoe.ai, and Algorise Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us any time at privacy@pascoe.ai.

Everything Pascoe stores lives in one database. In full:

• Your account — sign-in is handled by Clerk, so your email address, name and sign-in method live there. Our own database stores your Clerk account id, your plan, a count of how many ideas you have used this month, and — if you gave it — your public LinkedIn address, covered below. We never see your password.
• Your voice profile — the description of how you write, your rules, banned words and openings, signature moves (including short quotes from your own writing), and the list of things Pascoe must never mention. That last list exists precisely so you can note confidential specifics — we treat the whole profile as sensitive.
• Calibration notes — a running log of which drafts you picked, which you rejected, and the notes you left about why.
• Ideas and drafts — the ideas you type or speak, the research brief Pascoe assembles, and every draft it writes for you.
• Images you attach — any image you add to an idea is stored alongside it.
• Your LinkedIn posts — if you give Pascoe your public LinkedIn address so it can learn your voice, we remember that address and keep copies of your public posts — their text, engagement counts and images. This only happens when you ask for it.
• Technical logs — our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, request time) for security and reliability, as any web service does.

We also count page views, using a measurement tool that sets no cookies and builds no profile — it tells us how many people read a page, never who they were. And if you arrived from a link we were running somewhere, we keep the campaign name from that link on your account, so we know which ones were worth paying for.

Just as important is what we do not collect. Pascoe has no advertising identifiers, no third-party pixels, and nothing that follows you around other sites. Card details go directly to Clerk’s payment processor and never touch us.

• To run the loop: research your idea, draft in your voice, and publish when you say so.
• To learn your voice over time from your picks, rejections and notes.
• To count usage against your plan and manage your subscription.
• To keep the service secure and working.

That is the whole list. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it for anything unrelated to being your content coworker.

Under UK GDPR, we rely on:

• Contract — almost everything above happens because you asked for it — it is how we deliver the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, and holding the minimal technical logs that make that possible.
• Legal obligation — billing and accounting records are kept for as long as UK law requires.

In our standard configuration, Pascoe’s writing is done by Anthropic’s Claude models, with OpenAI handling the research step. What gets sent is content, never identity: your idea, your voice profile, recent calibration notes, and — during voice set-up — your interview answers or the text of your public posts. Your name, email address and account id are never included.

Both providers process this under their commercial API terms, which do not use your content to train their models. Pascoe does not train any model of its own on your data either — your voice profile improves through stored notes, not model training.

The database itself sits in London (AWS eu-west-2), so your stored data stays in the UK. Some of the services above run in the United States; where data leaves the UK, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, alongside each provider’s own safeguards.

For as long as you have an account, because Pascoe’s memory of your voice is the product. When you delete your account, everything in section 2 is erased — voice profile, calibration notes, ideas, drafts, images, and the mirrored copies of your LinkedIn posts — along with your Clerk account and your LinkedIn connection. Two things outlast deletion: copies in short-lived database backups, which fall away automatically as those backups expire, and billing records, which the law requires us to keep. Posts you published to LinkedIn stay on LinkedIn — they are yours to manage there.

Under UK GDPR you can, at any time:

• Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Have it all deleted — see the data deletion page.
• Restrict or object to how we process it.
• Take your data with you in a portable format.

Write to privacy@pascoe.ai and we will sort it, free of charge. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), the UK’s data protection authority.

Pascoe sets only the strictly necessary cookies Clerk needs to keep you signed in. There are no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies — which is why you have never seen a cookie banner here. There is nothing to consent to.

Keeping it that way shapes how we measure things. Our page-view counts are cookieless and anonymous. When you arrive from one of our links, the campaign name travels in the web address and is saved to your account only if you sign up — a visitor who never signs up leaves no record at all, and nothing is ever stored on your device to recognise you later.

Pascoe is a tool for founders and is not intended for anyone under 16. If we learn we hold data about a child, we will delete it.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will let you know by email or inside the product before the change takes effect, and update the date at the top of this page.
